How did we come up with Life Groups?
Small Groups and the LIFE purposes are all Biblical concepts. The idea of LIFE Groups (and the concepts related to them) began with conversations and prayer about how our church can maximize our potential to Fulfill the Great Commission and Follow the Great Commandment. Our pastors have spent considerable time seeking God through prayer, discussion, meetings with Deacons and other Leaders. We believe that LIFE Groups is a part of the vision and direction that God has given us for Chapel Hills.

What do I do on Sundays?
The oppotunities for Sundays are Limitless. You can focus on Corporate Worship, serve in vital Sunday Morning ministries, greet and host guests, attends seminars and help with volunteer ministries. You could even stretch yourself by bringing an unchurched friend to Worship and then taking them to lunch afterwards to share the experience.

What about our children and youth on Sunday AM?
For children from birth to eighteen months old, we will have nursery and caregivers available for all service times Sunday morning. Two year olds through pre-kindergarten will have an age appropriate learning event during all service times. This will involve specific times for pre-schoolers to have stations including worship and music, teaching and crafts. Children may stay in this program both hours if their parents are serving in the church. Kindergarten through fifth grade will experience age appropriate learning, highly enthusiastic worship, drama, games, and small group time as part of our dynamic Children's Ministry. Vists the Children's Ministry site for more information. Students will have a time to connect with other students on Sunday mornings and participate in student oriented programs. We encourage our students to get involved in serving ministries. Visit the Rush121 web site for more information.

Why should LIFE Groups meet at different times and locations other than Sunday Morning in the church building?
Impacting the community does not happen inside the church buidling. Wcan do life together anywhere, but we must be out in the community in order to impact the community. It is a Biblical concept to meet in homes and outside the church building. Life Groups are infinitely expandable because there are no limits on the number of homes that can be used as we continue to reach others for Christ.

How will we develop leaders?
Leadership development is the responsibility of all of us. To develop strong leaders we have developed a system of coaches and huddles. In addition, we will hold two large scale training events per year to maintain a focus on leadership development.

How will we help people get into Life Groups?
We will encourage "Vision Casting" for LIFE Groups and sharing stories. A "Connections" ministry organizes groupings of groups that create mid-sized environments where people can come together for events centered around LIFE Purposes. In addition, about four to six times per year we will hold LIFE Link events designed specifically to help people connect with others to form new groups. Starter groups will emerge from these Life Link events and have the potential to become LIFE Groups.

What do we do with our children during LIFE Group meetings?
Some options for providing for your children's care during LIFE Group meetings are; Everyone gets a baby sitter for their own home; Hire teenagers to provide childcare in another part of the Host's home and share the cost; Partner with another LIFE Group to watch kids while the other group meets; Rotate watching children among group members and lead them in a Bible study discussion (a group of 12 means watching children only once every 6 weeks).

How can I become involved?
One of the best things you can do to get involved is to pray. Pray for our pastoral leadership, as well as the LIFE Group leaders and hosts. Through prayerful consideration, find God's role for you in LIFE Group Ministry Leadership as a LIFE Group Leader, LIFE Link Servant, Mid-Sized Groups, etc.
